The Railroad & Industrial Preservation Society, Inc (RIPS) began assembling our team of volunteers for the Lehigh & New England #611 restoration during early 2021. We are fortunate to have locomotive mechanics, electrical experts, welders and other talented individuals committed to the project.

We are always looking for more dedicated people with an interest in seeing #611 running, whether you have the skills mentioned above, other talents or even just the desire to come down an assist. If you are interested please reach out via our Contact Us form.

Our main work site is in Kutztown, PA. on the Allentown & Auburn Railroad. Some sub-assemblies and specific tasks will be preformed offsite, but most volunteer activities will be in Kutztown.
